Canadian actor Clé Bennett has joined the Season 4 cast of Amazon’s The Man in the High Castle.

Toronto-born Bennett, 46, has a wide-ranging movie and TV resumé that includes the horror film Jigsaw, and series such as HomelandHeroes Reborn, Private Eyes, Rookie Blue, FlashpointLost Girl, and Gemini Award-winning roles in CBC miniseries Guns and HBO’s The Line.

In the Amazon Original High Castle he’ll play Elijah, a militant Black nationalist living in the Japanese Pacific States. He’ll link up with new character Bell, played by Frances Turner (The Gifted), and join an urban guerrilla movement dedicated to the liberation of African-Americans, Amazon said in a news release.

Also joining the cast is Rich Ting (Waco) as an ambitious young detective in the Japanese secret police.

The Man in the High Castle is based on the 1962 Philip K. Dick novel of the same name and imagines a world in which the Allied Powers lost the Second World War.

Seasons 1 and 2 can be seen on Amazon Prime Video. Season 3 debuts Oct. 5.
