Manager, Music Label Partnerships (Canada)
Andrew began his career as a recording engineer, songwriter and musician. He has recorded and performed across Canada, US, UK and The Netherlands with The Saddletramps, Loomer, Cap Gun, Adam Franklin and a host of other artists.
Developing a deeper interest in the business, he began working at various major labels in Toronto including PolyGram and Rounder Records. A short stop to develop the music division for Chapters Online in the original dot com explosion revealed the new possibilities in digital music, and eventually landed him at Sony Music leading their digital business development for 7 years.
In April 2015, Andrew moved to Google to manage strategic partnerships for Google Play Music, a role that quickly expanded to include YouTube. He works directly with artists, managers and labels to help break artists across Google’s music platforms.
